Seattle update & preview.

Postby george[flytampa] » Mon Jan 10, 2005 3:53 pm

Hey guys,

Seattle is inching closer to completion. However, I'm very fussy & want to polish it for a little a longer. The xmas vacation period enabled me to get a good chunk of work done. I can only afford a few hours work per week right now due to a new demanding job.

Anyway, here's a handful of teaser shots. Framerate is excellent & I haven't optimized all of the poly heavy jetways yet either.

Eric, don't worry, I won't forget your static aircraft

Looks great, but that crack in the runway should be about 6 inches closer to the center :).

Just kidding, can't wait to get this one.

Thanks for sharing the pics George :) !

It looks just great. I know you'll be doing everything you can to optimize frame rates as the existing KSEA is already very demanding on frame rates. (Most likely due to the fact that its nearly always covered in cloud!)

Can't wait!

Thanks guys.

most of the framerate hit comes from the Seattle skyline. The airport has a minimal hit on performance.

I'll post some more shots including Horizon's glass tunnels very soon.
The all new mega scenery, pacific northwest, is about to be released & looks awesome.
I'll be pre ordering it soon so I can make sure both products blend into each other.

George,

About the Seattle skyline, same is true for SFO, airport is great to the bloody skyline gets rendered causing a hit on memory performance.
