Quick question from a newbie.

Postby TJC » Sat Jan 22, 2005 5:46 am

Hello and thank you very much for your superb scenery. I have Dubai and will be getting SFO as soon as I get my new computer up and running next month.
My question is can I load your airports without the static planes? Appologies to whoever designed the aircraft for you, but they are not really accurate.
I am running Ultimate traffic which at the default SFO and Dubai provides enough AI flights to keep ATC seriously busy without having to find empty gates.
How hard would it be to remove them from the scenery without doing damage.
Sorry if this has been asked before but I couldn't find a thread relating to it.
Thanks for any help.
Regards

Hey Tom,

There was an option to install or not to install the static aircraft on the installer.
Anyway, we can still get rid of them.

Go to your fly dubai folder, probably located in C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Flight Simulator 9\Addon Scenery\FlyTampa-Dubai

Inside the scenery folder there will be two files. One called aerostat_airliners.bgl the other aerostat_cargo.bgl

Just delete or move those files & you'll be all set.

cheers,
george

Perfect. Thanks George. I saw this option on the SFO pack I bought yesterday after posting but didn't know if I could alter once loaded. Thanks again for the quick answer and, most importantly, the great scenery. SFO is unbelieveable.
