Montreal First Preview

Postby george[flytampa] » Tue Feb 14, 2012 7:36 am

Hey chaps,

Here's some very early sneak peeks at our Montreal scenery. It's 'work in progress' so many features are still missing. I only started work on the 3d buildings in January, so only the centrally located Air Canada & Bombardier facilities are completed. Previously I've been working on the ground related elements which are essential but not much fun. I prefer to leave the terminals to last as to maximize my reference material.

I hope you enjoy what we have so far.

Looks great George :)
Great for some evening flights as it's not too far away from your Buffalo and Boston scenery :)

Finally ! Something is made for the Quebec !

Please do not forget the CAE Buildings at the begining of the 24L, outside of the airport

I am so glad to see the first previews of this great airport! I am looking forward in seeing more pictures in the upcoming months! You did a great job in all that has been shown in the pictures above with the new Air Transat logo on the hangar. There is also a new hangar that has been built next to it and that is quite huge. I think it'll be one for Air Inuit but that is to confirm. If you need pictures, don't hesitate to contact me via PM, I live 15 minutes away from CYUL and have a decent camera/lens. I know CYUL is currently building new international gates and new hangars but I'm sure a lot will appreciate this new scenery. I will definitely be the first one buying it.

Thanks a lot for this preview,

Frederick

Thanks guys.

The Inuit hangar & new Intl gates I unfortunately already decided to omit from the scenery. I just don't have the reference for the structures or the new ground layout. I nearly cancelled the scenery over them during the early stages but decided to push ahead with what I had.

The CAE Buildings will be included in a basic form as they are quite far away.

I am heading to CYUL this friday. If you need any shots, don't hesitate. I will be at Starlink Aviation building, the first one at the edge of the 24L RWY. I could take a few shots of the building from the GA parking.

That's very kind of you. If you don't mind, a few shots of the GA hangars &
signs would be useful too. I'm not sure how old my reference is.
Please email to George (at) flytampa.com.
No rush. Thanks again.
