AI traffic water landing. What files to delete?

Postby jakeyboy145 » Fri Jul 03, 2009 2:29 am

Hi,

I have read the other posts about this and I have searched my computer for other afcads and installed AISmooth (which I have yet to test)
However, in my search I found the following files:
AF2_TNCM.bgl - C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Flight Simulator 9\Addon Scenery\scenery
F1UT_TNCM.bgl - C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Flight Simulator 9\Addon Scenery\scenery
AF2_TNCM.bgl - C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Flight Simulator 9\Addon Scenery\FlyTampa-Maarten\scenery
AF2_TNCM_flytampa_dummy.bgl - C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Flight Simulator 9\Scenery\World\scenery

I don't want to delete any files that I need which is why I'm asking. Obviously the AF2_TNCM.bgl (found in the FT folder) nd the dummy need to stay.
And FYI the F1UT_TNCM.bgl is my Ultimate Traffic file. I don't know what it is or does but if I need to delete it will it stuff up my UT?

Thanks,
Jacob

AF2_TNCM.bgl - C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Flight Simulator 9\Addon Scenery\scenery

This one I have no idea at all. Maybe some previous TNCM addon you had? Rename extension to .bak

F1UT_TNCM.bgl - C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Flight Simulator 9\Addon Scenery\scenery

Rename extension to .bak

AF2_TNCM.bgl - C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Flight Simulator 9\Addon Scenery\FlyTampa-Maarten\scenery

Leave

AF2_TNCM_flytampa_dummy.bgl - C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Flight Simulator 9\Scenery\World\scenery

Leave

About the water landings, have a look at the following 2 posts by jvile which describe what happens in detail:

Also If water landings still percist get the AIG afcad off of Flightsim.com. They added a few things to avoid the problem.

thank you guys SOOOO much! :) I saw a 737 land the other day which is the biggest plane I've seen land at TNCM (Althogh I don't know if a 737 counts as a heavy?? :? ) but I havn't even seen a 747 on approach yet, only seen a plane as big as a 757 I think? I can't remember but I'm pretty sure that 737s weren't able to land there. If it doesn't work I will download that program from flightsim.
Once again THANKS ALOT!!

A 737 wouldn't be considered a heavy.

At TNCM, you will see up to the 747 (KLM I believe) but they may have changed that recently to a different aircraft. It is amazing such large aircraft can fit into such a small airport on a tropical paradise.

I've seen a 757 land there now and I'm pretty sure that counts as a heavy. And I looked up on my Ultimate Traffic when the 747 from KLM lands there, I put my flight sim time to the day and time. But no 747 came for some reason. I even tried setting the time 5,10,15 and 20 mins before the scheduled time of arrival and waited about 5-10 mins after the schedued time of arrival but still no 747. I checked and made sure I had a livery assigned which I did and still nothing. But oh well, this is a Fly Tampa support forum not UT!! lol
