I try to attempt a ILS approach to 15R with a 151 heading but it is not alingned with the runway. the aircraft lands 5 degrees to the right.

Anyone have this same problem?
Is there a patch for this?

15R has an offset ILS. Why I don't know. Maybe to avoid overflying something on that approach.
The FAA charts don't make it clear but you can just see the offset visually.
Kill the autopilot when you hit decision height & hand fly her in.

No, gondwana is correct, there is an ILS R15R localizer mislocation problem with the KBOS v 3.2 scenery. The heading alignment is correct, but the localizer centerline is offset about 200 ft to the left, and runs through the glideslope antenna, not the localizer antenna located off the approach end of ILS 15R. This is easily demonstrated/verified in slew mode. User's can't fly the ILS to the 250 ft minima without an unrealistically large maneuver over the approach lights. Can't you fix the .bgl ?

I might be missing something here but the 15R LOC is offset like that at the real-world Boston airport. I'd rather leave it like that. I don't think they use that runway for landing much anyway. I've only ever seen the CapeAir 402s land on it in VFR conditions.
If you want the LOC aligned with the centerline its very easy to move with a program like ADE...

I attached a new afcad with the LOC in the centre of 15R. Just replace the file in FlyBoston\scenery.

ILS doesn't mean that the approach course has to be aligned perfectly with the runway heading.

The maximum offset for an ILS is around 5°. Is this offset higher the approach has to be renamed to "localizer (DME) approach".

And the runway 15R in KBOS has an offset according to actual charts. This offset is 1,6° so George is right and you should start reading charts.

In real an offset means no autoland capability

In FS this limitation doesn't exist, so every try landing on an offset loc runway with a/p on will end up everywhere but not on the runway.

George - Many thanks for tweaking the .BGL so the 15R LOC goes thru the departure end antenna - as it must. Yes there is a small angular offset, probably to maintain sufficient TERPS volume clearance - maybe on one of the two obstacles shown inside the FAF . But 15R has precision markings and lighting and a published precision approach with a 267 foot DA. Yes 15R is primarily used for KBOS southeast departures, due to accessibility from N taxiway, with arrivals on 15L. But on certain days there is plenty of 15R traffic (I know - they pass right over my house !)

Chuck, your discussion of the technical elements of the 15R are correct (angular offset for clearance, etc.). We occasionally use 15R for a departure runway -- late at night / early morning, wind permitting, for noise abatement is the norm. We RARELY use 15R for an arrival runway, only when the wind is howling out of the SE. But I ASSURE you that we don't normally put arrivals on 15L!
