Boston Parking

Post by villaa82 » Thu Jan 28, 2010 5:47 pm

Hello, is there a way to get atc to park you in a different parking spot at boston. Everytime I fly into Boston I am assigned the same parking spot no matter what airline I fly. I never get assigned to say example the United Termial or the international terminal. Is there anyway around this.

You probably don't have any parking code assigned in the aircraft.cfg of whatever you are flying.

Hey George, I flew the level d 767 and I assigned it parking to the gate and the the code UAL. I am still missing something ? Here is my level d cfg for air cananda.

The bigest problem you have is the way FS sets radius sizes for different Aircraft.

As UAL only fly 757's into BOS (as far as I'm aware), the largest parking spot there will be set to 25m for the AI 757.

You want to fly the Level-D in here, which has a radius of 31m. 31m into a spot of 25m will not go, so you will never get directions to any of the UAL spots.

Now to try to help.

If you open the AF2_KBOS.bgl file in AFCAD2, you can assign one of the International gates, E I think, with the UAL code.
That will give you a better chance of getting to a gate you expect.

The other option is to simply ignore FS ATC and go wherever you want to park.
Head in the direction you need, and see if there is an empty gate there.

Hope this helps.
