I don't quite get what all the worry about getting traffic into VHHX is coming from. CLK is an extremely busy airport so if you divert 1/3 of the commercial traffic going/leaving from there and 1/2 the cargo you should have all the traffic you need without any noticeable difference at VHHH.

Exactly... have a bit of enterprise and stop complaining. There's traffic for everyone!

The airport looks amazing and so does the city. And I hate to be nit picky but look at this image. hk_fs905.jpg I think it was 5th down? Why is that airbus landing with it's reverser's deployed?

you are in trouble lol, you are going to have to outdone yourself, come up with new ideas.... no old stuff...man I know I am scaring you....

I am sure that it will be great.... Just show off the scenery..from within the city 'you know like a pedestrian tour, show airplanes landing from within the streets, people looking up as they hear the engines... show the AI (I am sure we will see funny thing as they try to engociate the turn) --> you could do that from famous spotting view, top of building, garage, checkerboard... that could be awesome.

Then switch also to the airport, with AES if you have it (I am sure you do)... after shwoing the airport, you show a departure...then..an approach of the 747 - and for that as well as for the departure you could film it just like ITVV does (you know the cockpit videos) and like you did in your video "end of an era" with the blue jet fighter - with one camera in the virtual cockpit filmingthe inside, you can't see outside because ti focuses on instruments on the sun is hining and blinding...one camera outside the plane, like in spotview...and also one filming the runway as it gets closer..

You put all those views at the exact same time (I mean synchro)....With squares on the screen...

Also, a trackIr view inside the cockpit waiting to align on runway 13 while some traffic comes in, get to look at the turn from inside there, like you did for the short final of some 747 (from the Vc of the leveld if I remember wellon your tncm video)

Man I shouldn't be telling you this as you are the king... anyways...I just wanted to throw in my 2cents

Also you could explain the IGS for unfamiliar pilots out there... just like captain don grange does in the video of cathay pacific of the 744.

Oh yea, abviously do the filming in fs9 with real environment pro - water DARK...I think it's what martin sued for his screenshots...and to me it's the most relasitic to date in fs9 (not like zinertek ultimate water)

I only realised today through word of mouth that you guys previewed Kai Tak - completely dropped my jaws onto the floor - I'm definitely buying this one no matter what.

I think you guys making Kai Tak is the highest honour the FS community could bestow on the airport. I am very thankful of that, reason being I used to spend every school day watching planes land at Kai Tak for a good 4 or 5 yrs (before starting life in Sydney Australia) (o.. if you ever need help with Sydney Airport you know who to contact ). I used to be in the building shown here: http://www.airliners.net/open.file/0828762/L/
the 5 storey high square building (high school). Still recall the memory of seeing Cathay's Tristars, other airlines DC10s, 747s, A300s from various asian airlines, and at later stages, A340s .. ar! those were the good old days! even saw an Air France concorde once late afternoon!!

I still remember when I was in class I used to stare out the window when I hear an aircraft coming. When they were using Rwy 31 for takeoff, the teacher had to stop speaking until the noise clears off Nothing could compare to the feeling of standing in the really dense area in kowloon near the airport and looking up, seeing these flying beasts roar overhead

From looking at your FS9 screenshots, the buildings / textures are incredibly detailed and so are the night lighting. The 2nd shot (FS9) is just fantastic, and as others mentioned previously, the mini-bus and double-decker buses are really well done - very nice touch! There are a few issues that I noticed though:

- the night lighting on the roads / road signs (the ones that are above the road) probably needs to be a little stronger. The bigger roads / bridges are very well lit in Hong Kong.

- the other thing is I noticed that the IFC 2 (international finance centre) - tallest building in Hong Kong, located in Hong Kong Island - wasn't completed until only after Kai Tak was closed.

These are just my observations and I don't expect any changes to be made. Whatever you do I'm still going to buy it! I'm so going to have a nice dream tonight when I sleep!

The city scenery will be a a mix of old and new. The latest buildings are modeled as long as they are not disturbing the approach path. For example, you'll see the Union Square with the giant ICC building:

Keep in mind it was impossible to get the exact same perspective due to the way certain camera lens alter said perspective.

I wondered how you'd tackle the old and the new, Martin.

Kowloon has obviously changed in the last 10 years but as you say, you need to preserve the approach corridor as that's where the pilot's senses are hightenend and the experience is won or lost.

As for Central, I guess you can just go crazy over there.
