Hello everyone,

I installed FlyTampa St. Maarten about a year ago and updated it today, to version 1.2.
Everything was working fine untill I installed the 1.2 update. Now I get a kind of overlay effect.
See the pictures below to see what I mean.

Check that you have the following files:

FSX/scenery/world/scenery/AFX_TNCM_flytampa_dummy.bgl

FSX/Adodn Scenery/FlyTampa-Maarten/scenery/cvxMAARTEN_SHAPES_SIMPLE.bgl
FSX/Adodn Scenery/FlyTampa-Maarten/scenery/AFX_TNCM.BGL

Also, are you running FSX with SP2 or Acelleration Pack?

I have all three of them.
I'm using SP2 (but deluxe) in Windows 7.

Is the scenery at the top of the scenery list? I had this too a while ago and that solved it.

At the top. You should note that I bought the FlyTampa Maarten scenery a long time ago, and I could have missed the update to 1.1. Perhaps that's got something to do with this?

Do you still have the original (very old) Installer Exe?

What is the filename?
FlyTampa_Maarten_FSX_PRE.exe

The 1.2 Update does replace the ground BGL files, but this is the first time I see such a problem. If you have an older installer, please let me know.

Or it isn't that file name, or I do not have the installer anymore. I think that I don't have the installer anymore. I'm sorry!
When was 1.1 released?

I figured out yesterday, there are more odd things;

At St. Barths, I have the very same problem as on TNCM but SABA is very strange!
In spot view, you can look from the bottom, as if there is no ground.

Hope this helps a little.

I am not sure what the problem could be.

Best is to remove and reinstall the scenery from scratch. If you need to re-download, send me an email with your name requesting a tncm download.

SOLVED:

Since I bought FSX, I didn't really check for updates and I missed SP2.
A few days ago, I got FSX Acceleration and now everything is solved.

i have a few problems!!!
1) the grey terminal @ princess juliana is too big (it covers the road behind 3 of the jetways)
2) the hill in front of rwy 10 @ st barths is grey and floating
3) the buildings & cars @ saba airport are floating
4) i have installed st maarten onto my laptop and it turns out that the grey terminal that i mentioned in problem 1 looks completely different (its more like the deafult main terminal @ canberra airport)

i have fsx acceleration (with sp1 installed)
i have freeware scenery for princess juliana ONLY
i used to have freeware scenery of saba but i deleted it as soon as i saw this problem
fly tampa scenery is #1 in the scenery library

i have also sent an email to support

i dont know whether to patch or not, cos sometimes patches ruin the thing you want to fix

Hi.I just installed my flytampa TNCM a while ago.when i started my FSX,and go to TNCM.when i saw it.,..oh my gosh ! what happend?! >.<...,,everything was stupid.the runways are like the taxi way,the terminal building does not have a jetways,there are no taxi markings..everything was just stupid!!!!!


____PLEASE IF SOMEONE KNOWS HOW TO FIX THIS PROBLEM____
