AI parking in one area...

Postby ryanbatc » Mon Feb 14, 2011 4:13 pm

What do I need to do to get my AI to park at the gates? Or does the afcad/ade file only work with payware packs like Ultimate Traffic or My Traffic X?

If your AI is parking at the empty apron, it must be using different (non-standard ICAO) airline-codes. You can edit that in Afcad/Ade.

I see now you're running default FSX fictional AI. I don't even know their codes, never bother. Best way to get a random distribution in this case is to just go into the Afcad/ADE, and remove those "B apron" parking spots.

Ryan you can get world of ai free http://www.world-of-ai.com/ it will work in fsx but you will have to disable aircraft shadows or the ai will be invisible due to how the airports were designed, its a temporary solution in till you get something like ultimate traffic 2 which was built and optimized for fsx.

It indeed will cost more money but it will be easer for you and you will have realistic ai. but it will effect your frame rates depending on how many planes are at the airport or /traffic density thats what most people run in flight simulator. or fellow Martins advice above.

That shouldn't be the case with any of our FSX releases, unless one copies certain FS9 BGL into FSX.

Otherwise, great advice.
