Because of this i think....

the Greek flightsim community has been really supportive.

I'll be releasing a 1.1 patch for both FSX & FS9 in a week or two. Most the issues addressed are for the FS9 version.

Regarding potential new projects; I originally planed a smaller US airport which was Spokane KGEG. Unfortunately its not possible anymore due to reasons I'd rather not discuss.

The new front runners are...

Montreal CYUL
Helsinki EFHK
Prague LKPR
Phuket VTSP

Thoughts & comments welcome.

I go for LKPR too :)

... as was stated , the european market is overfull of airports but truly , designers forgot about eastern europe such are airports as Warsaw - EPWA, Prague - LKPR , Brno - LKTB ,Bratislava - LZIB, Kosice - LZKZ, Sofia - LBSF, ... but what i realy missing in virtual flying are airports as -Doha OTBD - or Bahrain OBBI ..

If i have look at the list above .. so my vote is LKPR or EFHK

As BoazDK already pointed out, they've already started work on Montreal.

Well, for EPWA, LKPR and LBSF there are pretty good freeware sceneries.
And LZKZ was done by Taxi2Gate, available on Simmarket

Have you ever been to LKPR in FS? This 4 years old scenery which was released as some beta with so many bugs, wrong placed objects and inadequate HW requirements is really only very average freeware. I am an ATC on VATSIM and I can promise that every year when we organise our 2-3 european-wide events more and more pilots ask us for some better scenery. Unfortunately we have to tell them "sorry".

Too bad as this is a wrong choice for me. I won't buy it since I never fly there. But maybe the next scenery is a European scenery again. Some ideas:

LKPR Prague Ruzyne
LIRF Rome Fiumicino
UUDD Moscow Domodedovo
UUEE Moscow Sheremetyevo
EDDB Berlin Schönefeld/Brandenburg
LZIB Bratislava M.R. Stefanik
LROP Bucharest Henri Coanda
UKBB Kiev Borispyl

All of these airports are in need of a good scenery.

"If you like airports, you'll find more than twenty-four thousand of them to explore."
- Microsoft Flight Simulator X Getting Started I'M NEW introductory flight

FlyTampa's got quite a choice of airports, and those are just default airports to revamp. Unless there's some personal appeal to working on an airport, I doubt ANY developer would want to work on it. And a bunch of whining users isn't much of an incentive...

Also, as the saying goes: if you want it done right, you've got to do it yourself. So if you really want a specific airport done well for Flight Simulator, learn how to do it yourself, and make a fantastic addon. If you do it well enough, you may even be able to make some money selling it, as FlyTampa, FSDreamTeam, FlightBeam, et al. do. If you find troubles, perhaps you'll realize how much time and work it takes to actually develop a full blown addon airport, and hopefully gain some respect for the developers who work so hard, just to be nagged by unappreciative users.

It's ultimately up to the developers to decide what airport they want to work on. Let them choose something they'll be satisfied with toiling so hard on.

Ok so it's the wrong choice... for you
I am glad you included the "for me" in your comment, as I do not see how your disagreement with George's decision, can change the fact, that George already made up his mind and is now working on Montreal.

I would save my ammo until(if that will ever happen given the reactions this vote provoked) the next vote.
George said that he even thought about doing Dulles, which could indicate, that the next airport would be from a different set of options.

Also FSDreamteam just revealed that they are doing CYVR(Vancouver), so Montreal is a perfect choice for flytampa IMO.

I know the question sucks, but can we expect CYUL before christmas ? Lets say as xmas present ? :D

Unfortunately, i must agree with Brodhaq. LKPR scenery looks very nice, but as he said, there are many wrong places, objects, and there are not some updates. For me- and i believe that not only me- LKPR scenery would be great

Great choice with CYUL... good for short hauls to KBUF, KBOS, KJFK...

KMDW, KORD... nearby in terms of flight time, maybe 2 hours... all ideal for the evening "after work" flight

You build them, I buy them... FT's standard is the "PMDG of scenery" in my mind...

All the best for the development and testing phase :)
