KATL is in progress, and coming soon, however who knows when as MSFS is the focus currently it seems

It's been yellow for 3 years. Get outta here with your "coming soon" nonsense.

Sorry my fault of how I wrote my answer, I meant it in "yellow means in progress, coming soon" not it's releasing in the next few weeks as it sounds, who knows when and if it will come, hell flight beams NZAA has taken 5 years so far.

Sorry again, didn't mean any confusion, I'm not wearing a tin-foil hat, thinking it's coming tomorrow, I would love KATL from FT but who knows if it'll materialise. I just wanted to answer the question of what the yellow meant

The yellow means "release in the next decade". I gave up on KATL. 4 years to make a scenery! The airport was built in less time. And the worst thing is FT doesn't even care to give a progress.

...and now the dot has disappeared. What a strange old world we live in.

Imagine communicating with your customers using only a rudimentary system of colored dots

Why is it so hard for these jokers at Flytampa to simply communicate?

If Martin is so busy that he didn't have time to at least do all loyal FT customers a favor and post a short message about why the yellow dot is gone and what that means for KATL than I would counsel him to close up FT and move on.

Indeed they should just call it a day.

15-20 years and a great many sceneries is an impressive record.

This communication disaster precludes a happy ending, though.

ATL apparently canceled after four (!!!) years on the map, no info at all about the VIE/ATH/DXB updates, etc.

More than disappointing to say the least.

Has it been confirmed that ATL has been canx?!?

Must admit the "updates" weve been waiting on for ATH/DXB and VIE have gone very quiet. I understand they are working hard and would rather build than communicate constant updates but surely something can be communicated every now and then to keep everyone updated?!

Amsterdam, Toronto, Athens are in late development for MSFS.
Corfu and Boston are coming a bit later.

It's not been a straight road the last few years.
Ever since P3D4 or was it 4.5, introduced PBR materials, it has increased the airport workload. We all had to learn new techniques in a short space of time. The visual look of the PBR materials were constantly changing with every update.

Xplane11 got a lot stronger, more stable and was worth some time away from the traditional simulators.

MSFS hit us all by surprise. Blown away actually. But we had another new SDK to learn.

We've created a bunch of MSFS libraries. 100s of new PBR objects to replace the older low polygon, non PBR models.

We've all have had family issues, some good, some bad.

I'm working on Athens so can't comment on the other airports. Originally (years ago) ATH was nothing more than a installer update. Then P3D4.5 arrived and required new PBR materials. Since the original FSX release, the new ATH is 90% rebuilt and I've hired a record number of 3d artists to help out.

P3D might have to wait a bit. MSFS is the clear winner of our time for now. It's a delight to work on.
My opinion; Legacy versions of P3D like V4.5, are unlikely to get large scale updates again. V5.5+ maybe.

Can you PLEASE give some indication whether you plan to continue support on X-Plane? Especially the ones previously announced like EHAM? If you no longer paln to support X-plane that would be a shame but at least it would clarify things. Now no other dev will touch 'your' EHAM or YSSy for X-plane because you may be doing them.
