Snowy taxiways during night

Post by Aleksander_B » Tue May 28, 2019 4:01 pm

Hi,

I love FlyTampa LOWW and during the day the airport is great.
But during night the taxiway textures changes into something that looks "snowy"
(look at attached pics)

I've set "June" in the configurator.

First the Month selection in the Config Tool is only used for EKCH and EHAM, it doesn't do anything for the other airports.

The glow on the taxiways I can see what that comes from but I'm unable to replicate the issue here. Do you get this glow also when you start a new flight with clear weather at night?

The only think I can think of is if you were in a daytime setup with rain/cloudy weather at first, which activates this effect and then switched to night using the time preview. Perhaps that wouldn't deactivate the effect.

Hi,

I´m new in this forum, so first of all to my person. My name is Michael and I´m from Austria, based between LOWG and LOWW ;)

My system:
OS: Win10 Prof.
SIM: P3D v4.5 latest hotfix (HF2)

LOWW v3, great job flytampa, it´s my favourite airport in Austria but there is one little thing which is already mentioned above and I also noticed this when I´m flying in and out of LOWW during nighttime.
You only get this behavior (kind of "snowy" taxi-/runways) if rain/wetness (=grd2_wet.bgl) is activated in the flytampa configurator and it is nighttime. It doesn't matter what season it is and whether it rains or not. The ground texture is automatically displayed at night as shown in the screenshots even though you start the scenery with a clear sky weather in summer or any other season.

Maybe this could be tweaked or is there a workaround without disable the function rain/wetness?

Many thanks in advanced!

Regards
Michael
