FT Eham with P3d5.4

Post by tk92 » Wed May 31, 2023 5:36 pm

Hi,

After updating the sim to 5.4 today FT Eham looks kinda weird.. It is hard to describe but I'm sure you will see the same weird 'grassy' ground textures which is definitely not how it used to be..

I am using ORBX True Earth NL, FT Base, Vector, OpenLC Europe as well. After updating of the Client, Content and Scenery I did a reinstall of ORBX Base and verified all files of my OpenLC's (NA, SA, Africa and Europe). This is how the airport looked afterwards. Does anyone have an idea?

Cheers!

Same issue here. I tried reinstalling EHAMv2 but no luck.

There is a thread on AVSIM about this issue (from which I also have problems).

PinkPony over at the Avsim P3D Forum said he found a solution. So here what he said:

I managed to fix it.

Solution:

1. Locate the eham_grd.lua file in \FlyTampa\Amsterdam\scripts and rename to .off (or delete it).
2. Replace with my eham_grd.lua file, available here https://www.dropbox.com/sh/vkiu3r1hc4ho ... jBgca?dl=0
3. Enjoy. Long live P3D!

Evidently there has been a change in how P3D v5.4 processes .lua scripts. In the case of Flytampa Amsterdam V2 .lua scripts are used to load the various (seasonal) ground textures which was no longer occuring with the original .lua script.

P.S. I will reach out to FlyTampa to share my findings. If someone could be so kind to share my solution here on the main FlyTampa thread

I can confirm this works, thanks a lot! Maybe Flytampa should pick this up since a lot of others might experience the same!
